Obituary of Glendlean A. Hobensack

Glendlean A. “Glennie” Hobensack, died December 12, 2018.

Born in Akron, she was a Silver Lake resident for over 50 years and a longtime member of The Church in Silver Lake, where she served with the Martha Mary Guild and The Giving Dolls.  She was a proud graduate of the University of Akron with a nursing degree.  Family and friends were at the center of her life, especially her children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John Hobensack, sister, Marie Ferensic, and brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Helen Ferensic, she is survived by her daughter, Beth Hobensack of Dallas, TX; sons, John of Cuyahoga Falls and Bill (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, FL; grandsons, Ethan, Luke and Jacob Hobensack, and brother-and sister-in-law, John and Doris Ferensic.

There are no calling hours.  Rev. Dianne Shirey will conduct service Saturday 3 PM at The Church in Silver Lake, 2951 Kent Road, Silver Lake, OH  44224.  Private burial Greenlawn Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church in Silver Lake or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
