Obituary of Phillip Camerata

Phillip Camerata passed away December 30th, 2018. 

A long-time resident of Silver Lake, he was born July 7, 1928, in Punxsutawney, PA. Phil was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. after 30 years of service, working mainly in the Tire Test and Development Division. Phillip was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany with Post-WWII Occupation troops, and then again in Okinawa during the Korean Conflict. He was also a volunteer for many years at the Cuyahoga Falls Good Neighbors unit. 

Phillip was preceded in death by infant son David, father Joseph Camerata, mother Genevieve, sister Josephine Sheltra. Phillip leaves wife Elenor, daughter Lynn Satow (Craig), grandchildren Simone Satow and Garrett Satow, and great-grandson Ezra Reyes.

Cremation has taken place. Mass of the Christian Burial, open to all friends and family, will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 12 at Holy Family Parish in Stow, Ohio.
