Obituary of Thomas L. Snyder, Sr.
Thomas L. Snyder, Sr., 84, of Munroe Falls, Ohio, suddenly passed away on January 10, 2019. He will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Thomas was honored to serve his country as a member of the U.S. Army and his community as a Munroe Falls police officer.
Thomas was born on March 16, 1934 and grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1962. He married the love of his life, Rose, and they moved to northeast Ohio to pursue a career at Terex for over 35 years. He graduated from the Ohio Law Enforcement Officer Training program and proudly served Munroe Falls as a police officer for over 20 years. Tom loved his family and was the hardest working man they have ever known. He was most proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Rose, and son, Thomas L. Snyder, Jr. He will be treasured by his children, Patricia (Dale) Kurcsak and James (Debra) Snyder; grandchildren, Brian (Brianne) Kurcsak, Jason and Lisa Kurcsak, Holly (Michael) Snyder-Bingman, Megan Snyder (Fiance CJ), April Snyder; and great-grandchildren, Gavin Snyder, Cohen and Sutton Kurcsak.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, Ohio for visitation on Thursday, January 17 from 5 PM to 8 PM, and where funeral service will be held Friday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Silver Springs Cemetery, Stow.
