My Father-in-law(Dad) John Hormel Sr., whom we love and miss dearly, was a devoted husband, a loving father and a good friend. He was one of the dearest, loving, caring, kind and generous person I have known. He took me in as is own daughter and made me feel part of his family with out any thought. Deep in my heart you’ll always stay loved and missed everyday............
You’re a great father-in-law.
Thank you for everything!
Love:
Geraldine

To the family, sorry for your loss. May you find comfort from God’s word the Bible. Jehovah God hates death, He views death as an enemy. I Corinthians 15:26 His son Jesus Christ said “All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out “ John 5:28,29 so we have a promise and a hope of seeing our love ones again.

I’m sorry for your loss, pain and suffering. Whenever we lose a loved one in death we feel a sting and a void in our hearts, as if someone ripped part of our heart out. The pain seems like it will never go away. It will with time, or it will at least ease up. The Bible reassures us of that in 1 Corinthians 15:54,55 - “Death is swallowed up forever. Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?” God promises us there will be no more death. (Rev. 22:3,4). Turn to him in prayer.

My Dear Hormel family,
Oh! So many wonderful memories over so many years. Rene and I have been so blessed that we had all of you in our lives over the decades. You all have been in our lives and continue to be so. John and Kathy were our closest friends. We always looked forward to dinners with them, conversations, and fun times at their cottage on the Cape. Of course, the little Beagle dog added to much to our fun! Her name was Judy.
Life is filled with so many memories, both happy and sad. We were blessed to have Kathy and John when we were having sad and stressful times. I is so difficult to have changes in our lives, but we have precious memories to cheer us up.
My life has changed since Rene passed away and with my move into a retirement center in North Carolina to be closer to my son David.
My deepest sympathy goes to each of you, my dear Hormel friends. Bless you and keep you.
Love, Bill

Dear Dad:
Why did you have to leave me so soon? I did not even get the chance to say goodbye to you. I was told you had 7 more days. Because of that Geri and I left you Saturday night to go eat and were coming back later.. 5 mins after we left you we got the call that you had passed away. If we had only stayed a few more mins we could have been by your side at the end, and so missed saying goodbye. We are heartbroken at losing you. You were a great Dad and friend to me. I will miss you.
Why did you leave me before I could say goodbye?
Love:
John Jr
