Dear Family.....thankful that we know that your dear Mother is with the Lord Jesus Christ now ..sorry that I could not attend the service. Your mom and Dad were both very dear people ..we do have some very fond memories of them so many years ago at Stow Alliance Fellowship Church and the boys in the old Indian Guide Program. Blessings to each one of you...in the love of Jesus ..Arleen Shuman for all the Shuman Family

My childhood is filled with wonderful memories of the entire Von Guten family. Anna Jean was my friend since our dads, Homer and Haden, walked us together as little girls. Mrs. Von Gunten taught me how to swim, hauled us around in her Plymouth Fury, and made sure we had great snacks for frequent sleepovers- including Chef Boyardee Pizza Mix. I still wear the perfume she wore- Estée Lauder Youth Dew, which takes me back to dreamy fun and memories of a wonderfully classy and very kind women. She had a mild rebuke of something like "oh, Anna Jean..." (with a sigh) whenever her wildly spirited daughter delivered a non-stop giggle concerning something ridiculously funny (to us!) Such good times on Kent Road! She will be remembered fondly as a kind and loving woman.

I’m sorry for your loss, pain and suffering. Whenever we lose a loved one in death we feel a sting and a void in our hearts, as if someone ripped part of our heart out. The pain seems like it will never go away. It will with time, or it will at least ease up. The Bible reassures us of that in 1 Corinthians 15:54,55 - “Death is swallowed up forever. Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?” God promises us there will be no more death. (Rev. 22:3,4). Turn to him in prayer.

Anna Jean, your mother told me many many years ago that God would not give me any more than I can handle. I never forgot that. I loved going to your house on Kent road. Your parents were so good to my mom after my dad died.Your mom was so sweet.Miriam
