Obituary of Stanley Zevorich
Stanley Zevorich, beloved husband of the late Dolores Ann Zevorich (née Kuhar), passed away peacefully on June 28, 2019 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Stanley was born in St. Michael, Pennsylvania on September 4, 1926. He graduated in 1944 from Adams Township High School in Sidman, Pennsylvania where he played football and acquired the nickname Gaga. After high school, Stanley served in the U.S. Army from January 1945 to August 1946. He married Dolores on June 18, 1949. The couple settled in Euclid, Ohio, later moving to Wickliffe, where they raised three children. Stanley enjoyed golf, working on his computer, and growing tomatoes. He retired from Production Machinery, where he worked as an electrical engineer.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Dolores, and his parents, Stanley and Victoria (née Braea) Zeverich (Zveii) and siblings Stella Zubal, Frank, Bernice Anderson, Victoria Huff, and Marie Langfield. He is survived by his sister Joan Brame and his children, Stanley M. Zevorich, Roger Zevorich, and Patricia Luce. Stanley also has five grandchildren: Lisa Susner (née Zevorich), Jon Zevorich, Kathleen Zevorich, Joseph Zevorich, and Tara Luce, as well as three great-grandchildren: Clara Susner, Roger Zevorich, and Marley Zevorich.
Fr. Andrew J. Gonzalez will officiate at a service on Tuesday, July 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Redmon Funeral Home. Stanley will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery, 10366 Chardon Road, Chardon, Ohio.
