Obituary of Donald M. de Camara

Hudson - Donald Michael ("Don") de Camara, age 65, of Hudson, OH and Naples, FL, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

Born February 9, 1954 in Fort Monmouth, NJ, Don was a 1972 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ and a 1976 graduate of Boston College with a double major in finance and accounting. He earned his master of business administration from Rutgers University in 1980, and enjoyed a remarkable 30 year career with Deloitte Consulting, prior to his retirement in 2013.

Don’s favorite pastimes included wonderful conversations over delicious meals and playing rounds of golf with friends. However, nothing meant more to Don than his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Elizabeth (nee Hoey); children, Don (Shanna), Janice Brockman (John) and Lauren (Tada Yamamoto, fiancé); grandchildren, Brennan, Kyle and Rhys, and sister Rita Mack.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Robert and Rita (nee McGoohan) de Camara and brother Joseph de Camara.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3 from 5 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 4 at 11 AM (visitation one hour beforehand) at St. Mary Parish, 340 North Main Street, Hudson, OH 44236.
