Obituary of Gail Yvonne Carey Seiple

Gail Yvonne (Carey) Seiple, 86, of Hudson, Ohio, passed away on October 7, 2019, at the Laurel Lake Retirement Community in Hudson, Ohio.

Gail was born in Ravenna, Ohio, to Oliver Carey and Grace Carey (nee Partridge) on January 25, 1933. She graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1951 and attended Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.

Gail was a loving wife and mother who lived life to its fullest. She greatly enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, and attending musical performances of all types. She was a talented pianist and painter and an avid bridge player. Her Christmas cookies were legendary.

Gail was preceded in death by her husband Adelbert H. Seiple, Jr. and grandson Ryan Duffy. Gail is survived by three children; Steve (Rebecca) of Delaware, Ohio, Karen (Glenn) Duffy of Macomb, Michigan and Kristine (Joseph) Serowik of Cleveland, Ohio; seven grandchildren; Tyler (Amy) Seiple, Kelsey (Thomas) Hart, Amanda Duffy, Kevin Duffy, Joseph (Erin) Serowik and Thomas Serowik; a step-grandson, Reeve Lambert; and two great-granddaughters; Hannah Hart and Natalie Hart, and four nieces.

Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. A memorial service will be held on October 13, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in the Serenity Chapel at Laurel Lake Retirement Community, 200 Laurel Lake Drive, Hudson, Ohio.
