Oh gosh, Anna Marie was on my mind tonight and I went looking for her. Unfortunately, this was where I found her. She was one of my RN instructors at Akron U in the 80's. She took Phyllis Finch and I under her wing and we stayed at her home on the late clinical nights one day and early classes the next. That ride back to the Wooster area, especially in the winter, was hell. So Phyllis and I would go to her house after class and spend the night. We would get up in the am and there would be a wonderful table setting and home made bread and just a lovely breakfast. She charged us about $7.00 a night. On graduation day, we received an envelope from her and inside was a saving bond in the amount and (maybe a bit more) giving us back all the money we had given her for allowing us to stay overnight. Phyllis and I have talked about her over the years and never forgot that homemade bread or her loving encouragement and care of two older students trying to get through college, raise our children and work out when we could. I don't know why I thought of her tonight. She has been gone a month. Heaven got a new angel. My sympathy to those who loved her.
