This will be an annual scholarship awarded to a deserving local art student. This award is fully funded by the Haller Family Trust. No donations are accepted at this time.
Gale’s Gallery
The unique style of Gale’s artwork results in brilliant layers of color in a realistic-impressionistic style. Whether portraying Victorian flowers or realistic landscape scenes, most of her paintings spring from her own imagination. Eager to apply her ideas, she rarely plans or draws out her ideas first but lets her ideas pour out as she is painting. She spends many hours adding details until the painting expresses the desired overall feeling that she wants to portray. After initially confining her efforts to painting on watercolor paper, she continues to expand her talents by painting landscapes and other subjects on canvas.
Acrylics are her preferred medium because they are so controllable. “I like the versatility and depth achieved by watering down colors or using them as they are. The end results are layers and layers of brilliant color and texture.” After painting for the last thirty years Gale exhibits her paintings at various shows and galleries. A growing reputation as an artist and her constant quest to broaden her artistic horizons, have led Gale to explore her own undiscovered talent.
These one-of-a-kind paintings are truly expressions of her soul.
