Mercer family! It is rare to have a teacher that you remember for something so good. Your mom was mom to us all when she taught home ec. I learned to love cooking and sewing from her. She was always cheery and so full of joy. I am sad for your loss but I know heaven is a better place and I know my own mom Dorothy schroedel and dad were there to greet her. She was a staple in our little town that we all loved. She made our community a better place. Be well and know you are all in my prayers as I too will lift your mom's soul up in my own prayers.
God Bless us all!

Dear Mercer family - The entire Lahoski family extends our love and prayers at the loss of Mrs. Mercer - our neighbor, teacher and friend. We have such fond memories of Marcie from youth baseball in Peninsula, days spent at the Quarry, middle school girls' track where she was the coach and family parties at the coolest house in Peninsula (complete with tennis & basketball courts, baseball field, and drum sets!) Not to mention, Marcie was our beloved home economics teacher who taught us sewing, baking and cooking...life skills that still should be taught today.
Jack and Marcie were always so dedicated to their family and their community. They are both missed deeply. May they find great joy in being reunited once again.
Sending love to your entire family from ours.
Judy, Lori, Beth, Terry and Johnny

Mrs Mercer was my home EC teacher many years ago. She was always kind even when we botched our assignments! Praying for your family.
