Nancy was a dear friend! I remember the dinners we had with her, Ruth Ann, Joanne, Ken, Itsuko, and Velda and competing at playing dominoes. These are good memories!

Dear Santee Family,
We have special memories through the years of times spent with your Mom and Dad at "The Chapel Homebuilders Class" and "Homebuilders Care Group."
We cherish the memory of your Mom and Dad's love for Jesus, each other and for their family as well as others.
They have left you with a beautiful legacy to carry on.
We send you our deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear mother.
With love and prayers,

I sang with Nancy in the soprano section of The Chapel choir. When her husband Douglas went to be with the Lord I offered to play my harp for the service. I had only played at a few services but had been told it was appreciated. Nancy was pleased to have harp music as part of the service and for a portion of the calling hours.
I had not played for such a large and impressive gathering. I felt I didn't play well. I knew I made mistakes in the service's closing hymn (Abide With Me) which Nancy had requested.
I felt I did so badly that I should never offer to play at a funeral again. But In Nancy's thank you note to me she wrote how much she appreciated my "expert playing". Those two words gave me relief but especially encouragement. As a result I have played more funerals and have been told the harp music brought comfort to many. I will never forget Nancy's words. They were exactly what I needed. And those words led to others being blessed. She was truly a blessing to me, and others will continue to be blessed because of her life and faith.

Jim and I send out sympathy to Nancy's children and their families. Doug and Nancy were among the first friends that me made when we moved into Sherwood Acres and the community of Stow. We enjoyed watching their children grow into adulthood and sharing both neighborhood events and family events with them. Doug and Nancy always shared a smile and a friendly greeting as we saw each other. I enjoyed walking and conversing with Nancy after Doug died and have missed her company after she moved.
We know that she will be missed by her many friends and family members. Cherish the memories that you have and share them with your children.
Thoughts and prayers.

Nancy was much loved by Peg, Jan & I. She will be sorely missed at lunch every Wednesday, Our group goes back many years through Bible Study Fellowship leadership and Community Bible Study. We shared many laughs and adventures! We'll let you and Marj fellowship at Jesus' feet. Your deep desire to join Doug in heaven is now realized as you join him in the presence of Jesus, our savior. Try to behave yourself, dear friend! See you later.

Dave and I were so sorry to hear of Nancy's death. We have so many fond memories of all of the Santees since we were next door neighbors for many years. Nancy had a beautiful voice and such a warm smile which made singing with her in Augmented Nine such a pleasure. I was always amazed at how organized she was with five kids. Before she would take the kids swimming they each had a household chore to complete. When the chores were done, Nancy made sandwiches, Kool-Aid and off to the lake we would go (I tagged along sometimes). Her calendar on the kitchen wall had a different color pen for each child's activity listed there. I still use different colored pens on my calendar. Nancy we will miss you.

Dear, dear friend and prayer partner over these many years! We shared our many joys and laughs, our trials, our ongoing struggles...every step of the way together. I always knew you were in my corner, and I was in yours--on our knees together for each other. To you, Nan: "Grief never ends...but it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness or a lack of faith. It is the price of love...and worth the cost." I grieve your loss deeply and will treasure your memory always. With love and deepest sympathy in your loss~
