Obituary of Carol Sue Barron

Carol Sue Barron of Akron, passed away August 16, 2020. She was born October 19, 1946 in Columbus Ohio. She is survived by her brother, Dan Barron of Jacksonville, FL; sister Mary Catherine Barron of Cleveland; step nephew, Don Dura, Jr. of Houston, and many cousins and close friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, William F. and Sonia K. Barron, brother-in-law Donald J. Dura, and step niece Lynn Dura. She was raised in Cleveland, graduated from Villa Angela Academy, the University of Dayton, and Kent State University. Carol completed a year in VISTA, taught for the Cleveland Public Schools, Hudson Montessori School, and retired from the City of Stow as a 9 1 1 dispatcher. After her retirement, she tutored and worked for the Akron Public Schools as a substitute teacher and dog sat for her favorite pups, Oliver and Ruben. Carol loved the Tribe. A private service will be held Tuesday August 25th.
