Obituary of Kenda Lynn Nasuti
STOW - Kenda Lynn Nasuti, age 41, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020. Kenda bravely fought colon cancer and the Lord called her home to rest. She was born on October 10, 1978, to Ken and Viola “Vi” Miller, and was raised in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
A 2001 graduate of Shepherd University, Kenda later proudly served as a Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) Officer, before finding her true calling as a special needs aide for Echo Hills Elementary School, allowing her to display her naturally affable and intensely caring spirit for children she came to love as if they were her own.
A huge “foodie,” Kenda enjoyed making new recipes and often ventured out to experience exotic cuisines. Always the adventurer, she and her girlfriends would travel to various craft breweries to sample locally made beers. A fan of most classic rock and 80s heavy metal, her favorite group was California punk band Pennywise.
Kenda’s uproarious sense of humor, combined with a kind and empathic generosity, led to her making friends with everyone she met. Enjoying lively conversations and helping people were important to her, and Kenda never met a stranger, only a new friend. People immediately warmed to her radiant smile, easygoing manner, and laid-back southern charm. Fiercely loyal to all of her lifelong friends and family, too numerous to mention here, her warmth, conviviality, and joy were all a testament to her character and the inner strength she possessed.
Kenda leaves behind her beloved son and daughter, Kenden and Carmela, as well as her loving husband and soulmate, Gered. Others deeply saddened by her loss include her mother Vi, father Ken (Jill Wilkinson), sister Nicole, and brothers-in-law Justin Akers, Guy, and Matt (Kacy) Nasuti, mother-in-law Linda Nasuti, and several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday, September 11th from 4 to 7 PM at the Redmon Funeral Home in Stow. Memorial service will be Saturday, September 12th at 1 PM at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life service will be held next summer in West Virginia for those friends and family.
