Obituary of Frederick J. Harmel
STOW - Frederick “Fred” J. Harmel, 76, died Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
He was born in Pennsylvania, and preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Eve (Milborne) Harmel and brother, Marvin Harmel.
Surviving is his loving wife of 56 years, Mariann (Ferrante) Harmel; son, David Harmel; daughter, Michele Harmel; grandchildren, Christine Harmel and Nicholas Harmel, (mother, Ruth Harmel); his beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, Louis Ferrante (Kathy), Frank (Shirley), Richard Ferrante (Jackie), Victor Ferrante (Cindy) and sister-in-law, Carol Trier, brother, James (Kim) Harmel, as well as eight nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Fred loved his trade as an iron worker, he retired in 2001. He was a active member of AA for 39 years and 56-year member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow. He loved to go golfing, travel to Las Vegas with his buddies, put together puzzles, and make beautiful rosaries.
Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 25th at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow 44224. Private burial will take place in Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
