Obituary of John Anthony DiPalma
STOW - John A. DiPalma, 85, passed away December 9, 2020.
As a professional musician in Cleveland and the surrounding area for over 65 years, John delighted audiences with his baritone vocals and guitar playing. He worked with many leading musicians and singers from the East and West Coasts and was frequently asked to perform with other area musicians in popular clubs and musical venues throughout Ohio. John was also called upon to work as a session musician.
In later years, he toured extensively as a member of the revived singing group, The Four Lads. Not one to retire, John continued to entertain at the MetroHealth Medical Center as part of MetroHealth’s Arts in Medicine program and at area nursing facilities.
He was a nature lover who enjoyed hiking, camping, and gardening. His favorite hobby was woodworking, and John produced many lovely projects over the years.
Dear father of Catherine, John (deceased), Mary Lou Rowland (Frederick), Gloria Lovequist (deceased), and Michael. Loving grandfather of Allyson and Meredith Whipple and Sarah, Amanda, Ashley, and Elizabeth Lovequist.
