Obituary of Bonnie Sue Orms

MUNROE FALLS - Bonnie Sue Orms (Akins) passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the age of 77. She was born on November 3, 1943 in Morehead, KY to John and Violet Pendland and grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1962. She was a loving homemaker who worked for several years in the Environmental Department at Akron General Medical Center in addition to her many years serving as a volunteer at her church and the Harvest Home Shelter for Women and Children in Akron. Later in life she was a generous caregiver for her husband, Richard. Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Van Akins; her parents; son William McFadden; and sister Frances Norris. She is survived by her husband, Richard, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Kevin Pletcher; grandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlyn Tannert and Connor Pletcher; great-grandchildren Camden and Elaina Johnston; sisters, Audrey Cameron, Betty Hatfield, Barbara Jo Taylor and Sylvia (Rich) Radonich; and several nieces, nephews and good friends from the Grace Baptist Church of Akron. Bonnie will be greatly missed and remembered for her compassion, kindness and sense of humor, but most importantly, for her immense faith and love of the Lord. Joshua 1:9 Bonnie will be laid to rest at a private graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron. Donations may be made in Bonnie’s honor to The Harvest Home, 24 North Prospect Street, Akron, OH 44304.
