Obituary of Pamela Russell Kasa

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Pamela Peniston Kasa, 88, died December 16, 2020. Born in Montclair, NJ, and residing in Cuyahoga Falls, she was a long-time resident of Hudson Ohio. (1948-1985). Pam graduated from Hudson High School in 1950 and raised her family there. She was the captain of her high school basketball team and editor of the school newspaper. She then attended Miami University of Ohio. Sports were one of her many passions, as an adult she played in several bowling leagues and loved watching professional Cleveland basketball and baseball teams. She attended and helped represent the members of Akron Post-Polio syndrome support group. Preceded in death by her parents Richard and Josephine Peniston, sister, Elizabeth (Betty Lou) Donaldson, and daughter, Lyn Kasa Barshay. Pam is survived by her daughter Barbara (Norman) Kasa-Hanna, her son John (Judy) Kasa; grandchildren, Justin (Kim) Brown, Briauna Kasa, Ryan Hanna and Marcus Hanna. Pam faced many battles and challenges, yet met each one with determination and grace. Her warm soul reached and impacted so many people in a quiet and gentle manner. That was evident with not only her love of family and friends, but her love of animals as well. Entombment Northlawn Memorial Gardens December 29, 2020.
