Obituary of Andrea Leigh Finkler

HUDSON - On December 29, 2020, a beautiful sunny winter day, Andrea Leigh (Woolley) Finkler went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She bravely fought a four-year battle with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer while continuing to live her life to the fullest, honoring God throughout the trial. She passed peacefully with her loving family by her side at Siedman Cancer Center in Cleveland. Andrea had a fierce love for life, family, and God. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, especially how she lived during these past four years. She never let anything get her down or hold her back from living life to the fullest. Andrea was born on October 7, 1977 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio to Alan and Janice (Tarantino) Woolley. She graduated from Boardman High School in 1996 where she was a member of the BHS Orchestra. She then went on to Youngstown State University to further her education and completed her bachelors of pharmacy at The University of Toledo, where she met the love of her life, Michael D. Finkler. They were happily married in 2004 and began their careers as pharmacists at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. In 2009, they moved back to Ohio and their family grew with three beautiful boys. Andrea continued her career until the present day as a pharmacist with her husband at University Hospitals, Cleveland. Andrea most loved spending time with her loving family, gardening, running marathons, traveling, being outside, camping, and hiking. She was a faithful member of Hope Community Church in Hudson and a passionate lover of Jesus Christ. Andrea was a truly humble and gracious person, a genuine, kind soul with a great smile who could light up any room. She would drop anything to help another in need. Her life continues to serve as an exceptional example for all of us, and especially her sons. She will be forever missed. Andrea was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Frank Tarantino and paternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Woolley, and grandparents, George and Edna Finkler. Andrea leaves behind her loving husband of 16 years, Michael D.
