Obituary of Kimberly Lynn Kinder

Kimberly Lynn Kinder (“Kiki”, “Kimmie Kat”) ANP-BC, GNP-BC, CNS-BC, MSN, BSN, RN, formerly of Ravenna, OH and Savannah, GA, went to meet the Lord on December 29, 2020 at the age of 49. Born in Charleston, WV, Kim was passionate about educating, training and mentoring many in the medical field. She took pride in caring for patients as a nurse practitioner in several states, including soldiers at Fort Stewart in GA. Kim graduated from Crestwood High School in 1991. She received her BSN from Kent State University in 1997. In May 2007, Kim earned her MSN with honors from Youngstown State University. She received her GNP from Akron University in May 2010. Kim was a member of various organizations, volunteered in many capacities and sat on a board that sought to help protect nurses rights. She held medical licensure for: Ohio, Maryland, Georgia and Minnesota. Kim was a lifelong learner, receiving many certificates, awards and honors and loved sharing her knowledge with her students. Kim had a great love for clothing, shoes, traveling and taking care of her parents. She loved unicorns and dolphins, her favorite color was red. Kim had a deep love for her whole family and she especially loved spoiling her nephews. Kimberly was preceded in death by her grandparents Frank and Opal Kinder. She is survived by her parents Kenneth Paul and Linda Kay Kinder; sisters Beverly Taylor, Kelly (Joe) Pryor; brother Kenneth (Shelley) Kinder II, and nephews Caleb and Wyatt Pryor and Kenneth Kinder III. Kim was a fine young lady, or as dad would say, “She was one hell of a woman.” Kim’s brother-in-law, Pastor Joe Pryor, will conduct the service Sunday, January 3rd, 2 PM at Redmon Funeral Home. Friends and family may call from 1 PM and are welcome to stay for the service. Should family and friends desire, flowers may be sent to Redmon Funeral Home and/or memorials may be made to St. Jude Research Center in Kimberly’s name.
