Isa was a member of the First Christian Church of Stow. She earned her pilot’s license in 1962 and flew private airplanes for many years. She also enjoyed skiing, ceramics, and a pick-up game of basketball, well into her 80s.
Preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, John Freebourn, Jr.; stepson, John Freebourn, III; brothers, Dale and Ervin Lance; and sister, Beth Lance, she is survived by her daughter, Jenifer (Barry) Confer; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Freebourn; grandchildren, John IV, Zach, and Travis Freebourn, Maria (Ryne) Siesky, Wm. Joel, Johanna, Jeffrey, and Rob Confer.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage of Hudson for their kindness and love in caring for Isa. They became like her second family when Covid forced the closing of nursing homes to family and friends.
There will be a private graveside service at a later date. Interment will be at Silver Springs Cemetery.
