Obituary of Marjorie Joan Farrell

STOW - Marjorie J. Farrell, 96, died January 9, 2021, surrounded by her family in Stow after a short illness. She was a proud member of the Stow community since 1958. Marj was born May 15, 1924 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Melvin and Pearl Eaton. She graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1942, where she was elected homecoming queen and cheerleader. Marj attended The Ohio State University for two years, it is there she met Robert Farrell, who lived next door to her sorority house. Marj married Bob on November 24, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio. They were married for 64 wonderful years. Marj was active in many civil and community endeavors throughout her lifetime. She had a zest for life that was unmatched. Marj was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert D. Farrell, in 2019, her parents, and her sister, Janet Ross. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Farrell-Jenney; son, Todd E. Farrell (Sonya); grandchildren, Shauna and Cassidy Jenney, Bailey Farrell (Heikell), Marshall Farrell (Erin); brother-in-law, Thomas Farrell; and sister-in-law, Joan Phane. Marj also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, dear lifelong friends, and devoted neighbors. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Marj lived her life to the fullest. Robert and Marjorie were charter members of the Stow Presbyterian Church and have requested that any donations, (in lieu of flowers) be made to the church in memory of Marjorie.
