Obituary of Bobbie June Johnson
Bobbie June Johnson, 82, went to be with her Savior on January 12, 2021.
Born in Livingston, TN, she was an Akron resident for most of her life and worked as a bookkeeper for Chapel Hill Christian School for 40 years. Bobbie was a life long and active member of Chapel Hill Church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, where she served as a Children's Sunday School teacher, nursery worker and deaconess.
Bobbie was a wonderful and loving wife, Mom and Grandma, who always thought of her family before herself. Bobbie fiercely loved her family and for the past two years she fought for life because of her great and sacrificial love for them. She showed love and kindness to everyone she met, and she was always very grateful and compassionate to all those who helped her and provided her with medical care. Bobbie loved because Jesus loves her, and she often shared about her faith in Jesus to others. Bobbie leaves us with a great and amazing legacy of a Godly Wife, Mom and Grandma who lived each day for her Lord and Savior.
Preceded in death by her parents Linzy and Ovalene Sullivan and sisters Linda Harrison and Nell Dean Downey. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Carvel; children, Jeff (Lisa), Pam (Jim) McHugh and Joel (Susie); grandchildren Stephanie (Brad), Jon, Stacie, Brandon (Melissa), Jenna (Mitch), Jamie (Ben), Benjamin (Lauren), Bethany and KK.; great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Elijah, Levi, Briella, Beckett and Aliyah June; brothers Earl, Richard (Marie) and Larry (Jean) Sullivan; sister Kathy (Mike) Stohovitch; brother-in-law Buck Downey, and best friend ever June Cochrane.
