Obituary of Marguerite S. Kube

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Marguerite “Maggie” Kube, 89, went to heaven on January 15th surrounded by people she loved. Maggie, also known as Aunt Geetie, Mom, Gram and GG, was the matriarch of the Kube family. She was a true woman of God and role model on how to be an exemplary wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandma – and still have a little sass while doing so. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Ed Kube, children Cindi Polovick, (son-in-law, Michael), and Karen Haggarty; grandchildren Meghan Brooke (Max), Morgan May (Jeff), Kalie Haggarty, TJ Stevens, and great grand-daughter, Emory Brooke. She now joins her son Timothy E. Kube and son-in-law, Dale Haggarty in heaven. Maggie and Ed’s secret to a successful marriage varied depending on who you asked. According to Maggie, the key is, “Faith in God and a sense of humor.” Ed, on the other hand, stated it was “Making her think everything you want to do is her idea.” Either way, they had it figured out, and their love for one another was clear to all who knew them. Maggie grew up with 11 siblings, which is likely how she developed her sense of humor. You could always count on her for a hilarious comment, even some rather public comments on Facebook. A hip 89-year-old, she was active on Instagram to keep tabs on her grandchildren. Maggie’s love stretched past family, and she welcomed friends into her home as if they were her own children, including the church community at Broadman Baptist. Many viewed her as a second mom, and you could always count on her for her listening ear, home cooked meal, and a prayer. She would pray that “whatever God wants to happen will happen,” and family joked that she had a direct line to God for prayer requests. “Our beloved Wife, Mom, Gram, GG will be missed by many. She was truly a blessing to all who knew her, and she was the perfect combination of selflessness and sass. We know that she is watching down on us – and still praying for us – from her new home.” Due to COVID-19, a private service will be held for immediate family only.
