Obituary of Jean Ann McClung

HUDSON - Jean Ann McClung, 80, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2021. She was born in Cunard, WV to the late Edward and Nell (Chapman) Sexton. Jean Ann worked at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital for 17 years in the Central Processing Department. For many years, she was a member of the Streetsboro Church of God. Jean Ann loved her family with all her heart, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed time with family and friends, shopping, singing, and cooking. She will be greatly missed by all her family. Jean Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 59 ½ years, John R. “Buddy” McClung, Sr.; and her 4 brothers, Ed, Donald, Jack, and Kenneth. She is survived by her children, John (Pam) McClung, Jr., Steve (Lisha) McClung, Daniel McClung, and Stacy Viningre; grandchildren, Jamie (Rodney) Ross, Rebecca (Scott) Zirke, Jonathan McClung, Sarah McClung, Ethan McClung, Mason McClung, Jake Viningre, Jessica Viningre, and Eric (Loretta) Stalnaker; great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Ryann, Reagan, Ella, Phoebe, Brooklynn, and Madelynn; siblings, Janet (Miles) Davis, Kay (Ernie) McGee, Martha (Larry) Sarver, Randy Sexton, and Gary Sexton. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Justin T. Rodgers Hospice Care Center in Fairlawn, for their care and compassion. Bishop Michael J. Rice will conduct the funeral service Monday, January 25th at 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where friends and family may call from 10 AM until service time. Burial Silver Springs Cemetery. Due to current pandemic orders, please be symptom-free and wear a face mask.
