Obituary of George Stovalosky
STOW – George Stovalosky, 101, passed away on January 26, 2021. Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to the late John and Mary (Kohuth) Stovalosky.
George was a veteran of the United States Army and served during WWII. He has been a residence of Stow since 1974. George was a salesman for Cavalier, Gulling, and Wilson in Cleveland, and worked for Apples and Giant Eagle. George was a member of the Stow American Legion Post 175 and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 61 years, Violet (Wokaty) Stovalosky; their son, George Stovalosky, Jr.; their daughter, Jeanne Sopik; his siblings, John, Mary, Elizabeth “Betty”, and Catherine. George is survived by his daughter, Karen Gillmor; sons, David Stovalosky and Alan Stovalosky; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A private burial will be held by the family at a later date.
