Obituary of Richard (Dick) Dale Mains

STOW - Richard (Dick) D. Mains, 90, of Stow passed away on February 5, 2021. He was born on August 25, 1930 in Akron, Ohio. Graduating from North High School in 1948, he went on to complete coursework at The University of Akron and then attended Ohio Northern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. Along with his twin brother Bob, they owned and operated Mains Pharmacy, Falls Pharmacy, and Hanna Pharmacy for many decades. He retired from CVS Pharmacy in 2011. In retirement, he loved playing golf whenever weather permitted and if not possible, played gin rummy at the Elks. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loretta Mains; first wife, Maggi Mains; twin brother, Bob Mains; sister, Lorena Prather, and son-in-law, Joe Horinger. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 35 years, Brenda Mains; daughters Christy Fouser, Juli Mains Horinger, Cherie (Joe) Paloucci; sons Rob (Chery) Mains, Jeff (Cindy) Mains, Rich Mains, and Rick (Milise) Bradley; sisters-in-law Charlotte Mains and Mary(Ken) Tunstall; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.
