Obituary of Joanne Murphy
Joanne Murphy, of Stow, went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2021.
She actively represented her faith through education and providing care to others. Joanne was a Eucharistic Minister, PSR and Sunday School teacher, Interfaith Care Giver, part of the Hospital Patient Ministry, served as a funeral greeter, and was an active member of her church. Joanne had many highlights in her life including a visit to Italy and attending Mass at St. Peter’s. She married Paul T. Murphy on March 11, 1978 with whom she is now reunited. She loved her family dearly which includes natural-born and step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling and was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Irish Hibernians.
Joanne was preceded in death by her former husband, Leroy Rouse; late husband Paul T. Murphy; brother, Robert Huston; brother, Dale Huston; sister, Jean Granger; and stepson, Michael W. Murphy. She will be missed by son, Joseph (Kathleen) Rouse; son, Michael Rouse; stepson, Paul (Irene) Murphy; stepson, David (Annette) Murphy; stepdaughter, Mary (Patrick) Altieri; brother, Keith Huston; brother, William Huston; sister, Donna Swank; sister, Sally Hubbard; and 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and relatives.
Mass of the Christian Burial Monday 12 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow 44224, where friends may call from 10:30 AM until service time. Livestreaming of the Mass may be seen at holyfamilystow.org. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Holy Family Church in Stow, Ohio or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northern Ohio Chapter - Cleveland.
