Obituary of Richard Allen Snyder
CUYAHOGA FALLS - Richard A. Snyder, 83, died peacefully with family by his side March 16, 2021.
Born in Apollo, PA, he was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls since 2019, and resided in Aurora for the preceding 34 years. Richard served as an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force. He had been employed with Chrysler Motor Company as a welder repairman for over 37 years, retiring in 2003. He was an accomplished bowler and received many awards and was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Indians. His largest accomplishment in life, however, was as a husband, father, and a grandfather. His world revolved around his family.
Preceded in death by daughter, Christie Komara; six brothers and sisters, he is survived by his wife of 31 years, Deborah; sons, Joel (Wendy) Snyder, Toy (Jen) Snyder, Chad (Kristin) Snyder; daughters, Vickie (Jeff) Engelhaupt, Kim (Brian) Powell, and Amy (Brent) Reichert; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Snyder.
Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Friday March 19, 2021 at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road Stow, where Pastor Mike Elkins will conduct a funeral service immediately following. Burial Crown Hill Cemetery.
