Obituary of Steven Thomas Rowland

STOW - Steven T. Rowland, 65, died May 1, 2021. Born in Akron, where he lived most of his life, Steven was a resident of Stow for the past five years. ‘Steve’ had been employed as a dishwasher for many years, with his last employment at Yocono’s Italian Restaurant. He was a member of The Vine Fellowship Church, which was so important to him and where he served as an usher and deacon. Steve enjoyed watching game shows, especially Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. He had a love of playing games, especially Trivial Pursuit. Steve was also an avid hiker and had hiked the Summit Metro Parks for 51 years. Preceded in death by mother, Faye “Connie” Rowland, he is survived by his father, Verne Rowland; brother, Scott (Laurie); sister, Sherry; brother, Stuart; nephews, Mitchell and Landon; and many cousins that he loved. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, after which Pastor Mark Ruppert will conduct a memorial service.
