Obituary of Kristopher Roukey
Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to our beloved Roukey family. Unfortunately, we lost a devoted husband, loving father and son, loyal friend way too soon.
Kris was so passionate about his children and their achievements that Rachel and the kids would probably argue that he was "too" passionate and competitive at times. His dedication to his family and friends will forever be missed, but never forgotten. He was so involved in helping Maddie achieve their goal of playing softball at the college level at Bucknell this fall and was just scratching the surface of Tyler's potential in indoor volleyball. He will never know the number of lives he has touched and impacted while we around him benefited from his love, positive energy and infectious smile and laugh.
He was a gentle and caring soul, always willing to strike up a conversation and make anyone feel comfortable while doing so.
His love of sport started from childhood and followed him throughout his professional career. Down this path, he was lucky enough to find his soulmate in Rachel and have 2 wonderful kids, Maddie and Tyler, from their union. Eventually, this led to his long career with the Cleveland Indians organization and long time resident of Hudson, Ohio.
Let us celebrate the time we were able to spend with him during his life and remember all the special memories he provided to all of us who knew him. We have been overwhelmingly contacted by many of their loved ones about how they can provide the same type of love and financial support that they have unconditionally given to others throughout the years. This spurred the idea to begin a GoFundMe initiative to assist Rachel, Maddie and Tyler in their time of need. Thank you so much for your support.
