Obituary of Lawrence E. Smith

STOW - Lawrence E. Smith, 82, died May 4, 2021 due to complications of a massive stroke which occurred on Friday, April 23, 2021. Born on October 6, 1938 in Akron to Wilfred and Helen (Halter) Smith, he was a lifetime area resident and had been employed as a store owner, accountant and tax preparer. He enjoyed riding and showing horses for many years, beginning at age 6. He is survived by his sister, JoAnn (Gene) Buffo of FL; life partner of 40 years, David Antes of Stow; nephews, David (Leslie) Buffo of Westboro, MA, Richard Buffo of Brookfield, IL, Stephen (Pam) Buffo of Cleveland, and eight great-nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home. Private graveside services and burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Tuesday.
