Obituary of Catherine A. Bass

STOW - Catherine A. Bass (Parks) 85, died May 14, 2021. Catherine, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt was born in Clymer, PA. She was a resident of Stow since 1987. Prior to moving to Stow, she lived with her husband Fred and their three children in Broadview Hts., OH. There she spent 20 years working at the VA Hospital in Brecksville. Catherine was most proud of her children and grandchildren. They are what brought her joy and purpose. In fact, you would always find her in the stands watching volleyball and gymnastics, on the sideline of the soccer field, or near the dance floor. She never missed a game, match, or performance. She was always their biggest fan! For the past 30 years, she was a member of the German Family Society in Brimfield, OH. Preceded in death by her husband, Fred, and niece, Darla Wade (Parks). She is survived by her sons, Fred P. (Cindy) and John (Anne) Bass; daughter, Jennifer (Paul) Frey; grandchildren, Lauren (fiancé Logan Rogers) Bass, Michael Bass, Taylor Herring (fiancé Rusty Pease), David Frey; sister, Mary Louise Strong (Parks).
