Obituary of James Leon Crosier
STOW - James L. Crosier, 88, lost his battle with cancer on June 1, 2021.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime Stow resident, a United States Marine Corps veteran and had founded Crosier Trenching Service in 1964. Along with his wife Shirley, he also opened Gateway Fireplace Shoppe in 1983. Mr. Crosier was a lifetime member of Streetsboro American Legion Post 685, and enjoyed fishing, especially on his boat, the HMS Stowaway, harbored in Port Lions, Alaska. He also looked forward to spending time at his home in Alaska.
Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, grandsons, Andy Crosier and Spencer Crosier, parents, Stanley and Flora Crosier, and brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Dorothy Crosier, he is survived by his children, Debbi (Don) Myers of Kansas City, MO, Terry (Leanne) Crosier of Calabash, NC, Bob (Diane) Crosier of Shalersville, Becki Crosier (Mike) of Stow, and Nancy Crosier of Kent; grandchildren, Troy (Holly) Robertson of MO, Stacy (Jeff) Thompson of NC, Jenn (Chris) Shanley of Stow, Tommy (Micheala) Pritchard of Kent, Caitlin Crosier of SC, Connor Crosier of NC, and Reese Crosier (John) of CO; great-grandchildren, Zach, Ethan, Cole, Kira, Cameron, Carsyn, Riley, McKenna and Hadley; sister, Janet (David) Bissler, and brother, Stanley (Phyllis) Crosier.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 1 to 3 PM and 5 to 7 PM, where Pastor Lon Snyder will conduct service Saturday 11 AM. Burial Stow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity. Friends and family are invited back to Jim's home following the burial service for a further celebration of his life.
