Obituary of Michael E. Sekulich

DEERFIELD - Michael E. Sekulich, 73, died June 14, 2021, from end stage renal disease. Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident and former owner and president of Tallmadge Asphalt and Concrete Company. Mike was a member and past president of the Stow-Munroe Falls Rotary Club and Akron Executives, as well as a past director of Stow Youth Football. Mike loved golfing, bowling, and vacationing in Myrtle Beach. He was also an avid race fan and sponsor at Barberton Speedway for many years. Most of all, he loved his family, his friends, his classic cars, and his dogs, Gus and Beau, (not necessarily in that order!) He was always the life of the party, always ready with a joke. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary, and sister, Carol Ann. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Pam; son, Gavin; daughter, Holly Schmunk (Rob); daughter, Nikki Clarkson (Dave), and son, Brandon Reese (Angela); grandchildren, Hailey McFalls, Cameron Clarkson, Mason Clarkson, Lauren Reese, and Leyton Reese. Calling hours will be Monday, June 21st, from 4 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224. Burial will be held Tuesday, June 22nd at 11 AM at Silver Springs Cemetery, 5080 Stow Road, Stow 44224.
