Obituary of Dawn Rene Doolittle

STOW - Dawn Rene Doolittle, 67, passed away on June 29, 2021. Born in Cleveland, she was a resident of Stow since 1993. Dawn had served as a board member with Oak Park and Stow-Munroe Falls City School Districts, retiring in 2007. She enjoyed reading, music, TV, and board games-especially Scrabble. Dawn was the ultimate advocate for children, spending countless hours and much energy in her career as a PTA and school board member. Dawn was also a member of Stow’s Commission on Inclusion. She was a sounding board and friend to many. As a forward thinker, she was unafraid to share her convictions. These opinions may have been accompanied by colorful language and you always knew where she stood on a particular issue. She will be extremely missed by her family and friends. Dawn was truly one of a kind. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Clinton Doolittle, she is survived by her daughters, Zara (Kim) Doolittle-Koran, Mercedes (Jenna Walker) Doolittle; son, Colin (Marianna) Doolittle; grandchildren, Nicoley, Sydney and Aiden. Special thanks to her neighbor family, Kevin and Debbie for their unwavering friendship and care. Also, thank you to Summa Hospice, Traditions Hospice, and Hudson Grande who made Dawn’s last days as comfortable as possible. Pastor Jim Case will conduct service 7 PM Tuesday at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call 4 PM to service time at the funeral home.
