Obituary of Bonita M. Eroskey

MUNROE FALLS - Bonita M. "Bonnie" Eroskey, 86, passed away on August 11, 2021. Born in Akron, she was a lifetime area resident. In the early 1950's she worked as a secretary at BF Goodrich Tire Company where she met her husband, Richard. After raising two sons, she was employed at the City of Munroe Falls as a secretary and later as secretary for Mayor Gerald Hupp. She also served on Munroe Falls City Council and later as Council President. Bonnie retired in 2001 where she worked as secretary for her home church, Trinity United Church of Christ in Akron. Bonnie enjoyed participating in church activities, traveling, and spending time at their cottage on Muzzy Lake. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Richard; sons, Rick (Gina) and Steve (Jenifer); grandchildren, Matthew, Madeline, Kathryn; sister, Janet Riley and niece, Julie Chamberlain. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Trinity United Church of Christ, 915 North Main Street, Akron 44310, where friends may call from 12 noon until service time. (Parking and entrance on Oakland Avenue). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity United Church of Christ to support local and global mission efforts.
