Obituary of Karen L. Williams (Bordeaux)
STREETSBORO - Karen L. Williams (Bordeaux), 76, departed this world for eternity on August 30, 2021.
Raised in Ashtabula, OH, Karen was a resident of Streetsboro since 2003. She was a graduate of both Kent State University and the University of Akron, earning a master’s degree from each. Karen was a dedicated educator for 52-years, and served as an intervention specialist and school psychologist. She was employed by the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District and the Streetsboro City School District, finally retiring in 2019. Karen enjoyed fireworks, playing dominos, cooking, game shows, hosting gatherings, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a kind, generous and selfless person who loved helping others.
Preceded in death by her son, Christopher (Bethann) Williams, she is survived by her son, Jay (Kelly) Williams; grandchildren, Cassidy, Jackson, Brennan, Gavin, and Tate Williams; sister, Barbara (Dr. Robert) Silverberg; nieces, Heather (Mark) Smith and Amy Silverberg (Karen Bomar).
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224.
