Obituary of Jack E. Herman

STOW - Jack was treasured by his loving wife, Connie. Jack was treasured by his five children and their spouses. Jack was treasured by his 15 grandchildren. Jack was treasured by his 14 great-grandchildren. Jack was treasured by his extended family and friends. Jack was dedicated and faithful to his family. Our dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa was so loved and will be so greatly missed. Jack was born in North Carolina; he served in the Army/Air Force in Occupied Japan. He was a surveyor for 40 years. Jack and Connie were blessed to share 64 years of marriage together. At the age of 93, Jack received eternal life through his steadfast faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 5, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie. He is survived by his children, Teresa Christensen, Scott Herman, Kevin (Wrenn) Herman, Anita (Stu) Ruff, and Mark (Melanie) Herman, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, and his sister, Luella Anastasia. Graveside committal services at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 10, 2021 at Greenlawn Cemetery, 2580 Romig Road, Akron. Visitation from 1:00-2:30 PM, Friday, September 10, 2021 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 2113 Ravenna Street, Hudson. Memorial service at 2:30 PM and luncheon to immediately follow. Memorials may be made to ALS Association, Northern Ohio Chapter, in memory of Connie Herman or memorials may be made to Gloria Dei.
