Obituary of Dr. Thomas M. Robb
HUDSON - Dr. Thomas M. Robb, 72, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 10, 2021, in his home surrounded by his wife and loving children. He lived a remarkable life of faith and integrity and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Tom was born on January 12, 1949, to Wilfred and Ethel Robb in Burlington, IA. He is survived by his three brothers; Roger (Schererville, IN), Steve (Anchorage, AK), and Kim (Morning Sun, IA).
Tom married Patti Lynn Stewart 43 years ago on November 26, 1977, in East Palestine, Ohio. Their marriage was blessed by five children, Michael (Katharina) Robb, Elizabeth Robb, Natalie Robb (Matt Dean), Katherine (Craig) Robb Sewall, and Daniel Robb, and seven grandchildren; Finley and Arden Robb, Desmond, Rosa and Margot Dean, Millie and Mac Sewall.
Tom graduated from Geneva College in 1972 and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. He received his Master’s in Science Education at Iowa University, Iowa City, IA a year later. He then graduated as a medical doctor from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA in 1976.
Tom had a private practice in Psychiatry in Boardman, Ohio for 22 years until 2006 when he was employed by Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio as an outpatient psychiatrist and retired in 2018 after a long career. Thomas has been a resident of Hudson, Ohio since 2010.
Faith and family were vital to Tom and Patti’s lives. They loved to travel together and were blessed to go on many wonderful trips within the United States and Europe. Tom enjoyed hiking, gardening, and studying the Bible. He was a member of Christ Community Chapel and served as a deacon and a community group leader. He was able to go on several medical mission trips over the years to Honduras, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Africa.
Pastor Jim Colledge conducted a celebration of life service at 11 AM Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Hudson, OH.
