Obituary of Patricia Ann Cardis

Beloved Wife, Loving Mother, Cherished Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Patricia Ann Cardis, (nee Althauser), age 88, of Hudson, Ohio, beloved wife of Donald for 69 years, died September 26, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born to parents Ralph and Leah Althauser, on November 4, 1932, in Lancaster, Ohio, and graduated from Barberton High School. Mema, as she was lovingly known, was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Diane Moore, nephew, Mark Althauser, and niece, Amy Roberts. She spent her life enjoying the cities of Stow, Munroe Falls, Hudson, and Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Along with her husband, she is survived by her brother, Ralph (Phyllis) Althauser; brother-in-law, Gary Moore; her sons, Jeff (Patti), Greg (Michelle), Scott (Cheryl), and daughters, Lynn Miller (Jim Arvay), and Carrie (Bob) Gynn, as well as many grandchildren and four blessed great-grandchildren. Pat had a long and fruitful life, she enjoyed spending the winters in Florida and spoiling her grandkids rotten. She loved, among other things, laughing with (and at) Don, playing cards, drinking brandy, canning peppers, hosting 'wine and wieners', puzzling, enjoying big bowls of ice cream, and making endless amounts of egg sandwiches. Calling hours will be held at Redmon Funeral Home, (3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224), on Thursday, September 30, from 12 noon to 2 PM, followed by interment at Markillie Cemetery (410 N. Main Street, Hudson 44236). A Celebration of Life will follow at Lake Forest Country Club in Hudson, (100 Lake Forest Drive, Hudson 44236), from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
