Obituary of Robert "Bob" M. Williams, II

MACEDONIA - Robert “Bob” Williams, II, 75, entered into the presence of his Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ on September 27, 2021. Born in Pittston, PA, he raised his family in Hudson before residing in Macedonia for the last 18 years. Bob had a twenty-year career as Vice President of North American Operations for Smithers-Oasis retiring in 2016. He was a member of Christ Community Chapel - Hudson Campus, serving as a deacon for three years. He was a servant leader and participant in Families Facing Addiction and volunteered for Restore Addiction Recovery. Bob found joy as a referee for varsity high school football. He was an avid runner and completed six marathons between the ages of 61-65. He was a loyal Cleveland sports fan and could often be heard displaying his passion as a spectator. Bob especially loved visiting Stowe, VT and hiking Mt. Mansfield with family. He cherished raising his family and many special memories and trips with his wife, Diane, during their life of almost 50 years together. He was a cherished source of Christian love and strength as a father and grandfather. An inspiration to all with his courage and unwavering faith as he battled ALS for the last 18 months of his life. Recently Bob was quoted, “All I ever wanted to do is go wherever God sent me and to use the talents that He gave me to bring some value to the service of others.” Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Ann Williams, he is survived by his wife, Diane Williams; daughter, Lisa Polidoro; sons, Kevin and Scott Williams; grandchildren, Alexis, Nathan, Brooke, Brice and Hadley.
