Obituary of Dorothy Isabel Scully

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Dorothy Isabel Scully, formerly of Stow, died October 21, 2021. Born in Philadelphia (Drexel Hill), PA, she was a Stow resident for 21 years, prior to moving to Cuyahoga Falls in 1996. Mrs. Scully was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She had also worked as a sales associate for Sears for over twenty years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed tennis, gardening, traveling, music, and volunteered as a reading tutor. Having also worked as an RN, Dorothy had a profound kindness about her, a warm and joyous sense of humor, and a deeply engrained passion for helping others. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her son, Robert, her two sisters, Helen and Margaret, and brother, Jack, she is survived by her children, Elizabeth (William) Shaw, James P. Scully, Thomas E. (Karen) Scully, Kathleen Scully; grandchildren, Christine Lias, Monica Burgess, Erin Peavey, Kathleen Rhodes, Jack, Carolyn, Steven, Robert and Robert Luke Scully-Buxton, Sarah Hartzler, and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, for visitation Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial Wednesday 9 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow. Private burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
