Obituary of Herbert H. Hadley
MUNROE FALLS - Herbert H. Hadley, Jr., 85, of Brunswick, OH, passed away November 4, 2021.
Herbert enlisted in the United States Army in 1960 and later served in the Army Reserves. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and later his master’s degree from Youngstown State University.
Herbert started his teaching career at Lincoln West High School, in Cleveland. He then became a Social Studies teacher at Bristolville High School, where he taught for 27 years before retiring in 1994. Herbert was a Bristolville Township Trustee, Bristolville Library Board member and a member of the Optimist Club. He painted houses in the summers, loved dancing, gardening, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Joanne Hadley; brother, Dr. Alan Hadley; sister, Judy Tolpa, and grandson, Dylan Paris. Herbert is survived by his wife, Joy Hadley; four daughters, Lisa (Paul) Koval, Lori (Ron) Rajewski, Lynne (Tim) Cape, and Lesley (Ted) Paris; stepson, Jay (Cathy) Hazlett; ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at the Gustavus Township Cemetery.
