Obituary of Betty Pauline Peel

MUNROE FALLS - Betty Pauline Peel, 96, formerly of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on November 5, 2021. Betty was born in New Martinsville, WV on August 29, 1925 to the late James W. Akers and Mary Spencer, and was a devout Christian and faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Akron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Price Peel; sisters, Anna Lee Metzger, Aubrey Van Fossen, Mabel M. East, and brothers, W. Ray Akers and James G. Akers. She is survived by her loving daughter Linda (Jed) Derhammer; son, Robert M. (Kim) Peel; granddaughter, Kristin (Matt) Garner; great-granddaughter, Everly, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to the staff at Mulberry Gardens for their care of Mrs.Peel over the last 4 years, and their special attention to her needs during her final days. Also thanks to Summa Hospice for all they provided. Rev. Doug Denton will conduct service Wednesday 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10 AM until service time.
