Obituary of Harold L. Hosterman

PENINSULA - Harold L. Hosterman, Sr., 78, died November 23, 2021. Born in Akron, Ohio in 1943, he was a lifelong resident of Peninsula. Mr. H. was a U.S. Navy Veteran and had been employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as a chef, retiring in 2001. He spent his current days doing what he loved, cooking for the Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron, Ohio. He was a devoted member of Victory Life Church. Harold was a Jack-of-all-trades and an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Above all else, he loved to serve the Lord and, in his words, “Feed the Lord’s sheep”. Mr. Hosterman was preceded in death by his brother, John Hosterman, and son, Scott Lydic. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karen Hosterman; daughters, Shonnett Krawczyk-Hosterman, Tammy (Charlie) Hendershot, Cappie (Frank) Wilson; son, Lee (Kim) Hosterman; daughter-in-law, Lara Ann Dodd; brothers, Frank, Stan, and Jack Hosterman; as well as 29 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, December 1st, 2021 at Victory Life Church, 3833 Hudson Drive, Stow, OH 44224. Services will follow at the church at 12:00 PM, conducted by Pastor Matthew Skifstad. Memorials may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries 175 E. Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44308.
