Richard A Walters, 81, passed peacefully on December 18, 2021.
Born October 23, 1940 to Floyd and Edith (Hutchinson) Walters, he was a long-term resident of Stow. Richard graduated from Stow High School in 1959 and married his wife of 60 years, Beverly (Hall) in 1961. Richard was a master carpenter for over 50 years; was a member and a past master of Star Lodge #187 F & AM; loved his cars, especially NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Sr; was a member of Tri-County 4-Wheelers; and never met a stranger. Richard could be found working on his cars and Jeeps in his back garage or helping someone in need, no request was too big or too small, he was always there when you needed him. He was the best dad, well-loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed by all. Richard enjoyed life to the fullest, loved playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and just hanging out with family.
Richard is survived by the love of his life, wife Beverly; his children, Sherrie (Christopher) Sweet, Laura (John) Burton, Richard (Kate) Walters and Jody (Mike) Williams; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Verlin (Charlotte) and Carl Walters and sister, Betty Bergeron; brother-in-law Richard Hall; and many nieces and nephews.
