Evelyn DuChene Mohr

Obituary of Evelyn DuChene Mohr

Evelyn (DuChene) Mohr, born in Hudson, OH, on March 11, 1932, the eldest of Adelord (Shorty) and Charlotte (Witt) DuChene, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 21, 2021, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Predeceased by her first husband, Raymond C. Mohr, in May 1978; Evelyn remarried January 15, 1994, to her husband of three years, Jack Tugwood of Banbury, England, who went to be with the Lord, April 1997; survived by her son, Dennis Mohr (Christina), daughter, Sheri Neiswanger (Greg), sister, Phyllis (DuChene) Crookston (Bob), brother Ernest DuChene; grandchildren, Dennis Mohr, II (Melanie), April (Mohr) Harding (Eric), Grace (Neiswanger) Kline (Bob), Raymond Neiswanger, (Stephanie), Rachael Neiswanger, Chloe Neiswanger, Abraham Neiswanger (Brooke), Daniel Neiswanger (Ashley), Emma Neiswanger, Emery Neiswanger, and Henry Neiswanger and 14 great grandchildren. She was a member of Stow Alliance Fellowship Church for many years where she volunteered her time to serve in the office staff and opened her home to many visitors over the years. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. For many years, she operated a ceramics business out of her basement teaching many how to create useful and beautiful ceramic pieces. Mom's greatest concern was the salvation of her siblings, and she would often share the gospel message with them and others she would entertain in her home. Evelyn would pray for each sibling by name until the Lord called her home. One of her recent pleasures in the later stages of life was to look out her dining room window into the woods where she could see a light filled path between two trees. She would often say that was where the Lord would walk her home to glory. Evelyn, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and Sister will be missed by those remaining behind. But we who remain will continue her legacy and share the love of Jesus with all we encounter and rejoice that she is with Jesus now and knowing that we will be reunited in Heaven someday in accordance with God's perfect plan. Our family wishes to thank mom's hospice nurses, Willa, Amy, and Chris, and nurse's aide, Kaitlyn, from Serenity Hospice for their love and unwavering service to mom in her last days. You were truly a blessing; mom always asked if you were coming back and smiled when we said yes. A celebration of life ceremony, conducted by Rev. Dr. Arnold Fleagle, will be held at Redmon Funeral Home, Friday, January 7, 2022, at 12 noon, where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. Interment Crown Hill Burial Park.
