Obituary of Thomas E. Wilson

Thomas E. Wilson Born November 27, 1931, in Akron, OH. After an extended illness with pulmonary fibrosis and CHF, Tom passed away surrounded by his family on December 23rd, 2021, at the age of 90. He is survived by his wife, Ruth. Think of the ladies Ruth saved by being married to Tom for 64 years. He is also survived by son, James of Peninsula, OH; daughters, Karen of Willoughby, OH, and Patricia Keitzman of Gallatin, TN; granddaughters, Kerry and Colleen Keitzman of Gallatin, TN, Tiffany (Jared) Alspach of Streetsboro, OH; grandson, Matthew Wilson, and great-granddaughter, Alaina Wilson of Akron, OH. Tom is preceded in death by son, Michael, great-granddaughter, Madison Alspach, and son-in-law, Brad Keitzman. Tom graduated from East High School in 1950. He served in the Navy from 1951-1955 on the USS Lind 00703 and got to see the world. Tom started at Ford Motor Co. in 1955 in Walton Hills, OH and worked as a diemaker. He retired in 1995 with 40 years of service. He enjoyed square dancing with the Crazy Eights and WaHoo Square Dance club (Yahoo!). He enjoyed golfing, motorcycles, hiking, and the summer concerts in the Metro Parks. He had an eclectic music taste from classic rock to bluegrass to traditional Irish songs. He will be dearly missed by everyone, but most of all his granddaughters, for his great hugs. Services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 4 PM at Redmon Funeral Home. Visitation until 7 PM will immediately follow the service. Masks are required.
