Obituary of Calvin A. Fleming

STOW - Calvin A. Fleming, 86, died February 4, 2022. Born in Deerfield, he was a resident of Stow since 1992, and a U.S. Navy veteran. Calvin had been employed with the East Ohio Gas Company as a line spotter, retiring in 1992. He was a member of North Point Apostolic Church. Calvin ministered for 40 years with prison ministries, and at the church. Preceded in death by son, Calvin Fleming and brother, Edwin Fleming; he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen Fleming; daughters, Tami Gamble, Darla (George) Freimuth, Sandra (Gordon) Cole; son, Frank (Vickie) Dowling; daughter-in-law, Kathy Fleming; sisters, Odell, Lyda, and Bess; twelve grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Pastor Joe Ellis will conduct service 12 PM Thursday at North Point Apostolic Church, 3544 Verner Road, Kent, OH 44240. Friends may call Thursday, 10 AM to service time at the church. A committal service will be held 10 AM Friday at Northlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 4724 State Road, Peninsula, OH 44264.
